About Driveway Done Right

Driveway Done Right is a small, independent site about one thing: taking care of asphalt driveways.

It's written by people who run a driveway sealcoating business in Orange County, New York. We spend the season cleaning, crack filling, and sealing residential driveways, so we see what works, what fails, and what homeowners wish someone had told them before they started.

Our goal is simple: help you make your driveway last longer, whether you do the work yourself or hire someone. When a product is good, we say so. When a job is better left to a professional, we say that too.

How we choose products

We recommend products based on what they're made of, how they perform on real driveways, and how easy they are for a homeowner to use. We don't accept payment from manufacturers to be included, and we don't recommend products just because they pay more.
